:: tester for PC-cables ::

A new type of tester is available for the PC services industry. Up until now such a tester could only be imagined. It is a tester for centronics, floppy, and hard disk cables that is so small, even in Korea or in Taiwan can't make it smaller. And on top of this, it's inexpensive and easy to use. If you still don't believe, read on.

We have developed the tester especially for PC-service companies, producers of cables and for quality control. The tester enables the checking of hard disk cables (MFM, RLL, AT-bus and SCSI), floppy disk cables (31" and 51"), and centronics cables. It tests the cables for line breaks and shorts between pins. Disk cables are tested also for wrong polarity and centronics cables for shorts to shield.

The tester is very simple to use. At the moment of connection of the tested cable, an appropriate LED on the tester lights if the cable is good. The tester is mounted in a 140 x 175 x 25 mm case and is powered by batteries. Because of its small dimensions, the tester is convenient also for field-service.

The price of the tester is less than half the price of any other automatic tester on the market. And unlike other models, this tester is more useful because it includes the connectors needed by PC service personnel.

The tester was awarded a golden medal at the Innovations fair IENA '92 in Nürnberg. We have also got patents for the tester.
